Membership Information

The Midland Railway Historical Association is a not-for-profit, educational, charitable IRS 501(c)(3) tax-exempt corporation. The Association’s primary goals are to obtain and restore historically significant railroad artifacts and equipment, and to utilize them in the operation of the Midland Railway, a demonstration passenger excursion railroad, to foster the public’s awareness and appreciation of railroading, both past and present.

Being a member of the Midland Railway offers you the opportunity to work on a unique project that promotes the preservation of railroad history through the operation of an actual railroad.

We Welcome New Members and Volunteers!

The Midland Railway is a project of the Midland Railway Historical Association and the Santa Fe Trail Historical Society. Both organizations are non-profit, educational, historical corporations. Funding for operations and developments come from fares, sales, donations and memberships. All persons working on the railroad are volunteers. Memberships are available in both organizations. Membership Levels

Voting Membership    (Individuals Only, No Groups/Clubs/Corporations)

Regular Member  $40.00/year

1. Member gets an unlimited pass for him/her to ride the Midland Railway Regular Excursion trains for the year.
2. Midland Milepost
3. $2.00 off any additional Excursion or Special Event Ticket purchased, Excluding DOWT (Day out with Thomas).
4. ½ price Charter Trips to Norwood, KS.
5. Voting status at annual meeting

Gold Membership  $150.00/year   NEW FOR 2013

1. Member gets an unlimited pass for him/her to ride the Midland Railway Regular Excursion trains for a year.
2. Midland Milepost
3. $2.00 off any additional Excursion or Special Event ticket purchased, Excluding DOWT.
4. ½ price Charter Trips to Norwood, KS
5. One (1) free ticket to any one (1) Midland Railway Special Event during the Calendar year, Excluding DOWT.
6. Voting Status at annual meeting
   

Platinum Membership  $250.00/year    NEW FOR 2013

1. Member gets an unlimited pass for him/her to ride the Midland Railway Regular Excursion trains for a year.
2. Midland Milepost
3. $2.00 off any additional Excursion or Special Event ticket purchased, Excluding DOWT.
4. ½ price Charter Trips to Norwood, KS.
5. One (1) Free ticket to all Midland Railway Special Events during the Calendar year, Excluding DOWT.
6. Right to vote at annual meeting.

Non-Voting Membership

Associate Membership $30.00/year

1. Member gets an unlimited pass for him/her to ride the Midland Railway Regular Excursion trains for a year.
2. Milepost newsletter
3. $2.00 off any additional Excursion or Special Event Ticket purchased, Excluding DOWT.
4. ½ price Charter Trips to Norwood, KS.
   

Corporate Memberships (Non-Voting)   $500.00/year  NEW FOR 2013!!!

1. Corporation receives one (1) free charter per calendar year on the Midland Railway.
2. Milepost Newsletter
3. $2.00 off any Excursion or Special Event tickets purchased for employees by the Corporation, Excluding DOWT.
4. Placement of Logo and Link to corporate website on the Midland Railway website “Corporate Sponsor’s Page.”
   

Non-Profit Club/Organization/Group Membership    $200.00/year    NEW FOR 2013!!!

1. Placement of Logo and Link of the Group/Organization/Group on the Midland Railway website “Sponsor’s Page”
2. Milepost newsletter
3. $2.00 off any additional Excursion or Special Event Ticket purchased by the Club/Group/Organization, Excluding DOWT.

• All membership applications are subject to acceptance and approval of the Corporation’s Board of Directors.
• Voting status remains in effect, on an annual basis, provided yearly dues are paid; failure to renew on a timely basis will result in forfeiture of any initiation fee and voting privileges.
•  Memberships are for the calendar year (January 1 through December 31).
