Guest Relations & First-Class Experience Coordinator (Temporary Seasonal)

Job Purpose

Ensure the highest standard of customer service is provided to The Polar Express Train Ride guests.  Provide them with details on The Polar Express Train Ride fares and actively issuing online first-class seat assignments.  Sell related products by identifying customer needs through rapport building, actively seeking out sales opportunities and promoting all railroad related products.  Ensure set service quality levels are achieved for all customer interactions


Issue Polar Express RFID wristbands to customers ensuring that all necessary rules and regulations are incorporated, and that the customer request is met in order to provide them with excellent service.  Highlight to customers the relevant requirements covering their visit such as directions, parking & shuttle options, and other details such as check-in place and time.


Keep abreast of The Polar Express Train Ride news and updates to ensure relevant professional and company standards are maintained.


Ensure that all necessary ticket related documentation is updated, brochures, sale and promotional material is properly displayed on individual counters, providing various options to the customer which will assist in increasing sales.


This position will work out of the business office located at 719 High Street, Baldwin City, KS 66006 with the occasional appearance at the event site.

Qualifications & Experience

Prefer two years of customer service-related experience.  High school diploma or equivalent is required.  Ability to utilize critical thought to address challenges quickly.  Comfort communicating with people from all walks of life.  Ability to remain calm when interacting with high energy guests.  PC based skills to operate Windows package such as Microsoft Word/ Excel/ E-mail. - Fluency in English is essential.

Salary & Benefits

This is a seasonal position that pays $720 per week with no benefits.  Must be available to work seven days per week with no time restrictions.  Must be comfortable dressing in executive casual branded attire.  Potential for a long-term employment does exist based on work performance.
